State: Western Australia

Coordinate: 17° 56' 12" S, 122° 47' 23" E
Coordinate basis: stated in text

Environment
Habitat: tropical/subtropical savanna

Protection: unknown

Substrate: ground surface

Habitat comments: "The West Kimberley region, in the north‐west of Western Australia, has a tropical, monsoonal climate, with an annual average of 500 mm of rainfall during November to April" and sampling was in Pindan vegetation (i.e., open woodland)

Methods
Life forms: carnivores,ungulates,other large mammals,other small mammals,birds,lizards

Focal species: Macrotis lagotis

Sampling methods: line transect,automatic cameras

Sample size: 1049 captures or sightings

Years: 2015, 2016

Days: 40

Nets or traps: 35

Net or trap nights: 927

Camera type: digital

Cameras paired: no

Sampling comments: "A camera trap array was made up of paired cameras, with one camera positioned on a seismic line (seismic station), and another camera ~20 m from the seismic line in adjacent vegetation (control station)... Cameras were not baited and positioned at a height of 400 mm on a metal stake... Four camera models were used as follows: three Reconyx models (HC500, HC600 and PC900) and Scoutguard SG860C (white flash model)"
in other words, cameras were not paired in the conventional sense because they were too far apart
sampling was from "4/12/2015 – 13/1/2016" with camera arrays placed 150 m apart
because pairs were 20 m apart, average spacing cannot be computed meaningfully
